Saturday, April 23rd, 2016 saw the fifth edition of the event take place.  New winners were crowned, some long-standing records fell, money was raised for an excellent cause, and above all, much fun was had by all.

In the men's events, John Foye was fastest overall in the Men's Long Course while Callum Healy came first in the Men's Medium Course.  Kirsten Vera Schweiger set the fastest ever time in the 33KM bike ride on her way to victory in the Women's Long Course, while 2015 winner Linzi Clarke triumphed in the Women's Medium Course once again, breaking her own record for the fastest overall time.  In the team event, Team Trump 4 President set a new fastest overall time for the Medium Course, knocking almost 14 minutes off last year's winning time.  Congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to all the 115 men and women who signed up and participated in the event.

Our thanks too, to our sponsor Smart Security, and all the volunteers who worked tirelessly during the weeks leading up to the event, and on the day itself, and who ensured that the whole thing passed off smoothly.

Over the course of the event we managed to raise just over UGX 15,000,000/= (about $4,500) for the Kyaninga Child Development Centre, an organisation that provides much needed physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services to children living with disabilities in the region.  A huge thank you to all who participated, sponsored, donated, volunteered or spectated, and in so doing contributed towards raising this much needed money.
